Diagnostic/Radiology Services

The Diagnostic Radiology Department will provide services and radiologist consultation regularly and conveniently available to the needs of staff members and newborn, pediatric and adult patients in a manner that inpatients, outpatients and emergency room patients receive the best possible imaging services.

Types of Practitioners Providing Care

All diagnostic imaging procedures are performed by or under the supervision of a radiologist who is board certified or eligible and are members of the medical staff of the hospital.

Technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), registry eligible and/or have graduated from an accredited radiology technology program or attending an accredited radiology program. 

Ultrasound procedures are performed or supervised by sonographers registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or have graduated a formal ultrasound school and are registry eligible. 

Nuclear Medicine procedures are performed or supervised by technologists certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).   

Mammography procedures are performed or supervised by technologists certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in mammography (ARRT)(M).
