Explanation of Billing Procedures

As a courtesy to our patients, if you supplied insurance information at the time of service, Barrow Regional Medical Center will bill your carrier for the services provided. If your Carrier requires pre-certification, we would ask that you assure that the certification is obtained prior to any scheduled service. In addition, if you provide a second insurance, this carrier will be billed after payment is received from the primary carrier. If you would like to receive an itemized statement for your services, please feel free to contact our business office directly at (770) 307-5345, Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm.

In addition to the billing of services provided by the hospital, you may receive separate bills from certain physicians groups. These fees are payable directly to those groups and not Barrow Regional Medical Center. Listed below are the Physician groups that may send you a bill for their services and their billing information.   Barrow Regional Medical Center makes every reasonable attempt to provide these physician groups with the information provided to the hospital so that they may bill your insurance as well; however it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure these companies have the required information. Any questions related to the physicians services need to be directed to the specific office as listed.

About our Management Team - Tom Kulcsar

Tom joined Barrow Regional Medical Center as the Director of the Business Office in February 2009. He is originally from Ohio, and a University of Akron graduate. He has over 20 years of experience working in hospitals’ business offices, including at St. Mary’s, Piedmont Hospital, Emory Johns Creek and HCA hospitals. He and his wife have 2 sons (both in the Navy) and a daughter (attending UGA).
