Going Home

While we hope that your hospital stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible, we know that receiving word that you can go home willl be the best part of your stay.  It is our intention to provide the kind of care that will make your discharge and return home as smooth and quick as possible.

Release Procedures

Your physician will discuss your release with you and write a discharge order on your chart.  Your nurse will work with your physician and the Admitting Department to make all the necessary arrangements for your release. Your doctor and nurse will give you instructions about post-hospital care.  If you have questions, please be sure to ask them at this time.  We ask that you make arrangements to leave your room shortly after your discharge.  Before leaving, please check your room, bathroom, closet and night stand to make sure no personal items are left behind.

Evaluating Barrow Regional Medical Center

The staff and administration of Barrow Regional Medical Center welcome your evaluation of our services and personnel.  We have asked the Gallup Organization to conduct random patient satisfaction surveys with recently discharged patients.  You may be called by a Gallup interviewer and asked a few questions about your hospital stay.  We appreciate your comments and suggestions of opportunities for improvement while you are at Barrow Regional Medical Center.
