What Can I Learn at a Diabetes Self-Management Class?
The Diabetes Self Management Class will teach you to:
- Create a lifestyle plan that includes diet and exercise that will complement what your doctor has planned for you.
- Talk to others that have diabetes and learn what they do day-to-day.
What Makes This Group Different?
The Diabetes Self-Management Class is taught by Stacey Patterson,
RN, BSN, CDE, Certified Diabetes Educator, so you can orient your
lifestyle with the plan your doctor sets forward, with a professional
who deals specifically with diabetes.
What Does It Take To Be A Good Member?
The commitment to take what you learn and apply the health education and advice from the educator to your everyday life.
If left untreated, Diabetes can lead to other health problems.
Long-Term Health Problems

Short-Term Health Problems
- thirst
- frequent urination
- weakness
- lack of ability to concentrate
- loss of coordination
