Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

The staff physical therapist assistant treats patients under orders from the referring
physician following evaluation by a licensed physical therapist.  Treatment programs
are developed through the use of a varietiy of therapeutic procedures designed to restore
loss of muscle strength, coordination and body alignment, to control pain and to improve
movement and function.  The physical therapist assistant is supervised by the Physical
Therapy Supervisor and functions in accordance with their State Practice Act.  Inpatient,
Outpatient and orthopedic experience preferred.  Types of patients treated include
adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Requirements

Current Georgia Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
