Chief Executive Officer

Blake Watts began serving in the role of Chief Executive Officer in June 2009. He is a graduate of Mercer University and holds an M.S. in Administration and M.B.A. from Georgia Southwestern State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and received one of five "CEO of the Year" awards among 60 hospitals from Health Management Associates in March 2011.

Blake began his healthcare career as a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps Officer graduating from the U.S. Army Academy of Health Science and serving in Ft. Sam Houston, TX, Germany, and Ft. Riley, KS. After military service, he was employed with Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, GA were he held multiple progressive positions in hospital finance and operations. Prior to joining Barrow Regional Medical Center, Blake served as Chief Operating Officer of Walton Regional Medical Center in Monroe, GA.
